SPRING-SUMMER 11 TRENDS

Spring 11 catwalks were full of contrast - Paris, New York, London and Milan fashion weeks showcased some very different trends. While London brought us white, sportswear, the trouser and the 1970s chic, Milan was full of colours, Paris revived rock chick image (Balmain, Isabel Marant) as well as elegant classics (Celine, Chloe, Chanel), and finally the Big Apple was all about femininity and soft tailoring.

Although it is quite hard to make a conslusion, few points can be made:

In terms of colour, think WHITE. Seen everywhere from Erdem, Alexander Wang to Nicole Fahri. Yet it's your to choose as tangerine, a rich combination of coral and fuchsia and neon colours were all over the catwalk too. So, when it comes to colour, there you are – take your pick.

The decade...clearly 1970s...and its must have wide-legged TROUSER...and THE BLOUSE

We can also expect lace, fringing, minimalist sportswear, layering and the usual maxi dresses. And floral prints, of course.

Thus nothing new or too defined. Despite 1970's, such thing as the KEY LOOK for summer does not exist. So although  we are just heading towards Christmas, be prepared to experiment during spring/summer as whatever you wear wont be a miss (or a big unexpected hit).
